Every time Desmond Hart is mentioned in #DuneProphecy I can’t help but think of him as “Dessie Hart” and wonder how his county team is doing without him at corner forward.
Notes in 2024

I finally did something with @cricsheet that I’ve been thinking about for a while. #cricket

As a temporarily unattached Cleveland #Browns fan the only joy I get from their games is seeing DeShaun Watson get pummelled. He can’t leave soon enough.

Sad to see Takakeisho retire today, but glad that he’s looking after his health. A wrestler I’ve really enjoyed for years. #sumo

As I've moved to my own domain it seems like a good time to do an #introduction post.
Hello, I'm Stephen, and I'm a software developer in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I spend (what some may call) a disturbing amount of time writing software (mostly in #Ruby). I adore #cats. I'm often found drinking tea, and muttering about the #cricket statistical data. I am possibly powered by sarcasm.
To summarise: Sarcastic developer. Responsible for cricsheet.org. Drinker of tea. Worshipper of #cats. he/him

I wonder how long it will take FastMail to get back to me about their apparent union busting. Granted, it’s unlikely they can say anything to stop me moving once I find a new host I like.

It gives me great pleasure to discover that there is a cricket umpire in Cyprus called Windy Miller! #cricket

Losing I can live with, but that was an embarrassingly awful batting display by Ireland. Canada deserved their win. #cricket #T20WorldCup

Once more into the testing…
-
I _think_ things are working. Let’s try another one.

Pay no attention as I experiment with something.

The honesty of “Blockchain Ireland” on their Use Cases page (https://www.blockchainireland.ie/blockchain-use-cases/) is something we could do with more of. 😇

Ireland 17 for 3 chasing 111 to win a first Men’s Test match. I don’t need this level of stress from them, I already have Mayo football working full-time to raise and then dash my hopes.

My expectations for 2024 did not include absolutely loving an ambient/drone album released by Vince Clarke (of Erasure/Depeche Mode/Yazoo fame). “Songs of Silence” is so good, and great to write code to.
