“Github now has a dark mode”. Surely they’ve had that ever since they partnered with ICE.

A while back I told my Mum that when we can all see each other again safely we’ll “do” Christmas, regardless of when it is. Cook turkey and ham, make stuffing, have crackers, spend time together, even if it’s the summer. It has given us something to look forward too.

More disgusting ICE news, yet continued silence from @github. Management clearly doesn’t care, and this also reflects dreadfully on Microsoft.
If you’re paying for Github, just stop. Or choose wiki support over human rights. Your call.

2 days until the deadline to submit a talk proposal to NI Dev Conf (@nidevconf). I’ve not submitted anything for a change (as I’ve not had any inspiration), but why don’t you? It’s a wonderful conference and they’re lovely people. #NIDC2020

It has taken a good amount of time but I’ve finally moved my repositories off GitHub. If GitHub wouldn’t drop ICE I had to drop GitHub. https://deeden.co.uk/articles/2020/08/06/dropping-github/

Nowadays every time @github announces a new feature my first thought is “but you’re still working with ICE”. And that’s why I’ve not created a new repo there since October, and why I’m gradually moving away.

My wife, before the ongoing Houston - Kansas City game, had successfully picked 5 out of 6 NFL playoff winners. I wasn’t going to mention it, however she did pick the Texans who are now 14 points up 😳
