Still awaiting my postcard from @juliangough (it is on the way to Vegas), however the Kickstarter updates have been worth the donation alone
Notes in 2015

Train showed on website as cancelled. Then delayed by 10 mins. Then I’m told it’s running on time. We have always been at war with Eurasia.
-
No response from @nirailways, however my train is now mysteriously not showing as cancelled but merely delayed. Fills me with confidence.
-
@nirailways 18.20 Great Victoria Street to Portadown is showing as cancelled on the website (if I dig around). Is that accurate?
-
Hopefully @opendatani will be supported this time rather than left to die in silence like the last incarnation (opendatani.com 2/2
-
It’s good to see the return of @opendatani (although they don’t seem to acknowledge that they have launched this previously). 1/2
-
I’d forgotten the pain of finding a new web host. Some hosts don’t display their prices, so they’re easy to take off the potentials list.
-
/me contemplates costs of getting t-shirts from the US. /me remembers friend is going to US for 2 weeks at the weekend. /me ponders
-
5 NFL games in London each year by 2018. Looks like I’ll see the @Browns being terrible live real soon now, rather than via @nflGamePass
-
ITV player displays message saying I’ll never miss a minute of the World Cup. Then displays ads for a minute so I miss a live try. Top work.
-
Too many people in my workplace have no idea who the Marx Brothers are. Our hiring policies clearly need revisiting.
-
Never good when the punter is the best performing player on your team. At least I have Ireland winning the rugby to cheer me up. #browns
-
Right @Browns. I’ll be up watching until after midnight. Don’t ruin the last of my weekend (and my sleep deprived Monday morning) in SD.
-
Been fighting off a sore throat all day. Now my nose has decided to join the fight against me. I hate the change in the weather.
-
@TranslinkNIR Given up hoping you’ll notice, so thought I’d point out that there has been an error in your “delayed” announcement for months
-
The yells that came from us when Mayo equalised against Dublin were something else. Glad I have tomorrow off to recover from the match.
-
Yet again a @Translink_NI train leaves the station early. A cynic might think they only measure punctuality at the terminating station.
-
Good: the Ireland rugby and Mayo All-Ireland games don’t clash on Saturday. Bad: I need to break this to @ManyHues. Chocolate may be needed.
-
@_chrismann89 Or a helicopter shot of some bails in the shape of a bike.
-
Don’t worry about my rambling about the cricket all day. Any ramblings that do take place will be confined to my @cricsheet account.
-
Off to Stormont for the cricket again. Today the weather is glorious (so we’ll probably lose play to rain!).
-
Today the World T20 Qualifiers start. Some cricket that actually matters and has consequences for the countries involved.
-
I used to really look forward to the Ashes. Now I couldn’t give a toss about it.
-
@Canonisation @ManyHues I suspect I know what we’ll be doing some evening in the future once re-start bad film night! www.theguardian.com/film/2015/jul/06/hawk-the-slayer-film-sequel-terry-marcel-jack-palance
-
That was some second half performance from West Meath. A great team display.
-
Wait, @QUB_QCon is on number 22?! It doesn’t seem like 20-ish years since I was messing with people with the only 2 runs of my Prisoner rpg.
-
That said, I do have a certain admiration for the casting person who, when asked to cast Joseph Stalin, thinks “It must be Michael Caine”.
-
When John Lithgow as Roosevelt is the most sensible casting choice in what you’re watching you know something very strange is going on.
-
@Irelandcricket Any idea of when news on ticketing for the World T20 qualifiers will be announced? Or have I missed that?
-
If the #MarRef result is the solid yes it looks like it is going to be I couldn’t be prouder of the country. :)
-
If it’s not a Yes vote today I’m going to be seriously unimpressed with my native country, and I’m not talking about the presidential vote.
-
To say that the election was a disappointment would be an understatement. If marriage ref at home fails on the 22nd I will be livid.
-
@carisenda There’s always the possibility that ALL symbols must be used.
-
4.25am. 23 picks into the NFL draft. Pretty content with Cleveland @Browns picks. Time for bed I think. Good think I booked “tomorrow” off.
-
Best thing to come from the World Cup for @Irelandcricket is the level of support from across the country. A very big change in 25 years.
-
I wish Github PRs had an option to re-order the files in a logical way, so that reviewing flowed naturally rather than alphabetically.
-
Sad to hear about Leonard Nimoy. He was so awesome when I was a kid, and didn’t really get any less so when I grew up.
-
I am definitely tired. I just had an epic battle undoing my lace. I was beginning to consider the practicalities of sleeping with a shoe on.
-
Didn’t expect a @Translink_NI response that used the words “info available to all”, “opendata / LPS portal”, and “date soon”. Encouraging.
-
Ask question of @Translink_NI that mentions GPS. Will there be no response, one of confusion, or the usual nonsense?
-
Fantastic to wake up to a @cricketireland win this morning. Great chase, but the usual problem of not killing an innings when on top bowling
-
Nice, and weird, seeing all the support online for @Irelandcricket today. Things have changed an awful lot in the last 25 years.
-
TV direction for the Scotland/Wales match has been fairly inept. Terrible camera angles (especially for kicks) and awful replay choices.
-
Myself and @ManyHues are having a dispute over which show Richard Dean Anderson is famous for. She is wrong, obviously.
-
I know timetables mean nothing to @Translink_NI, however it seems wrong, even for them, to have the train leave the stations early.
-
@Irelandcricket Are the venues/dates for the World T20 qualifiers set yet? Knowing actual venues and dates would help with planning time off
-
Thanks to the attendees of @BelfastRuby last night. All very supportive of my slides per minute world record attempt. Nice time, pacing.
-
I’m going to miss the American football when this game is over :(
-
On an unrelated note, I take it the @BelfastRUsers group has died a death? Just when I get into it too :(
-
Lovely to have lunch with @annetteIRL and @swmcc. Now I must resist the attempts of my panini to put me to sleep.
-
That last retweet was for @ManyHues. Easily the things she likes best about the NFL. Short list admittedly.
-
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"
How I felt emotionally after discovering my metal cup in the dishwasher. The last one never recovered from that :(
