No matter how many times I read a Culture novel they seem to new to me each time. I started “Consider Phlebas” and I think I’ve read it before but I’m not certain and, more importantly, I don’t care. Banks is a wonderful science-fiction writer, easily my favourite of the more modern era and I love his Culture novels.
