The first of the Colonisation series takes up the story 20 years after the ending of the World War series. Many of the same characters appear and new ones are introduced. The pace is slower in this book as the humans and the race are mostly as peace. The introduction of the Colonisation fleet takes time but gradually new tensions appear and things get moving. Not as good as the original series but enjoyable nonetheless.
