Stephen Rushe, sometimes known as Steve depending on the circumstances and how much I like you. Assume Stephen until told otherwise, it’s the name my parents gave me and I’ve no objections to it.
I work as a developer in Belfast at Banjax, near to the city centre, convenient for the shops and meeting people for lunch (assuming they’re in Belfast).
I should mention that I’m married to Michèle, my Vegas wife. Before you ask, as everyone does, no, Elvis didn’t preside. Michèle wanted to have Elvis there but I said no. I’m the boring one, although I did get married in Vegas so I can’t be all bad!
deeden.co.uk is my personal website, consisting of whatever I feel like putting on it. Currently it has a version of one of those blog-type things you may have heard of. It also has sections to show what I’m reading and have read, mainly because I find it interesting. There are other bits and bobs attached to the site, some semi-integrated (such as the code section, when it appears), some separate such as the podcast.
My sister, Kathryn, couldn’t say Stephen when she was young. Whenever she tried to say my name she would end up saying Dee-den. The name has stuck over the years and I sometimes get called it when I’m at home. When the time came to register a domain it seemed fairly natural to use deeden. Now you know.
The simplest way to contact me is probably just to send me an email. Simply send your message to whatto (at) deeden (dot) co (dot) uk and I'll get it. You could also send me a message via , my username is srushe.
TInker Tailor Soldier Spy by John Le Carré.
The Spanish Civil War by Antony Beevor.Stephen Rushe lives in Belfast, Northern Ireland with his lovely wife Michèle. He spends much of his time writing code for web applications, both for himself and for Banjax Web Design, Belfast, and pondering his lack of design ability. He has a love for most things Apple and eagerly awaits the opening of the Belfast Apple store.
Stephen also wonders how well writing in the third person works.
